You will basically benefit from our auto-renewal service. We will automatically initiate the renewal procedure on your behalf 60 days prior to expiry to ensure that your LEI remains continuously valid. We will, of course, contact you by email to inform that the auto-renewal service has been initiated. We will process your renewal application as rapidly as possible; this will not be influenced by when you submit your payment. If you have decided not to take advantage of our auto-renewal service, you can yourself undertake the renewal procedure as and when necessary.
Renewal applications Please note that the renewal option will only be active eight weeks prior to the expiry of your LEI. We will inform you of this in good time by email. As a rule, your LEI can be very rapidly renewed. However, if you change your LEI service provider, the related transfer may take several days.
We offer a convenient and automatic renewal of your LEI, so that no active intervention on your part is required and your LEI remains permanently valid.
With a sufficient notice of eight weeks prior to the expiration of the annual period, you will receive a reminder via email from us informing you of the need to renew your LEI number.
If you use our above mentioned Auto-Renewal service, we will inform you even earlier - two weeks before we generate the order for you.
You may also look up your LEI renewal date via the LEIReg Search function by simply searching for your LEI number and clicking on your company name. You will find the date and time under “Next renewal”. The date of the next renewal of your LEI can be checked on the LEIReg portal under MY DATA or LEIs/Data Management.
Your LEI code will in principle remain valid indefinitely and its status will remain active and updated for 12 months from first issuance.
Your LEI code will after one year remain publicly available, although the information may be outdated. The Global LEI System therefore considers annual checking of your data essential to ensure that the system data will remain valid and of high quality. The system in this way ensures transparency based on updated LEI statuses.
Your LEI will be renewed after successful annual checks of your LEI information and its status will remain active and updated for another year.
Should no validation respectively renewal take place, the public LEI status will show that the information may be outdated. Please take note that financial transactions may no longer be possible with this LEI status.
We are happy to renew your LEI at LEIReg. In order to ensure that your LEI remains unique, your LEI number must be transferred from your current issuing authority to LEIReg in advance.
