LEIReg has an LEI search option. This allows you to search for LEI numbers, determine their validity and view the information provided on the corresponding organisation. To avoid the risk of becoming involved in any potential financial fraud, investors and individuals can thus determine whether an organisation of interest is legitimate or is subject to any legal penalties.
When you want to verify the validity of your LEI number you will need to enter the name of the corresponding organisation or its LEI number in the search bar. Information will then be displayed on whether the LEI is still valid and active. The first date of allocation and that of required renewal will also be displayed
